This web-map was designed to visualise UK House Price Index (UK HPI) data, which captures changes in the value of residential properties by geographic unit. It is intended to help prospective buyers and sellers visualise the trajectory of property values in their geographic area of interest.

Average house prices can be seen to increase with increasing proximity to central London, and also increase over time from January to September 2022.

Instructions:

Use the buttons at the top-center to load average property price data for your month of interest.

Hover over a region to show detailed HPI data in the bottom-right corner of the map window. Click on a region to focus-zoom on it.

Use the below slider to set minimum and maximum filters, useful for filtering out regions which have an average price that exceeds a buyer's budget.
